The Philadelphia Coalition is a multiracial group of concerned local citizens that was formed around a call for justice in the case of three civil rights workers—James Chaney, Andrew Goodman, and Michael “Mickey” Schwerner—who were murdered here in Neshoba County, Mississippi, in 1964.

Saturday, March 29, 2008, 2:30pm, at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church: The Philadelphia Coalition issued a new statement calling on the State of Mississippi to request that the FBI release additional evidence in the "Mississippi Burning" case, as well as to challenge the state government and the citizens of Mississippi to address the crimes of the Civil Rights era.
